Make Money - Look For Opportunity

Do you want to make money and live comfortably?

Who wouldn't? Nearly everyone wants to make enough to live comfortably. Maybe you would like to make money to live more than comfortably. One key to making more money is to begin to really welcome the idea that money can come from anywhere, and anytime. Whether you have millions now, or whether you are down to your last penny, the basic principle is the same: Be open to multiple sources of income. Maybe money does not grow on trees, but if you look, there are possibilities to make money everywhere.

For the wealthy investors, the typical word for this philosophy to make money is: Diversification.

They do not just look for that best investment, but they look for several best investments. But the same principle holds true for those with little or no money. For instance, if you are looking for work, consider the possibility of getting two or three part-time jobs, instead of just one main job. This is entirely possible nowadays, thanks to online resources such as craigslist, or the ease of being able to create your own website.

Get more than one money making gig going!

Here is one possible scenario: You could get a 15-20 hour/week job as an office assitancnt, for example, (a temp agency is one way to get such a job, word of mouth is another, or you might also try college campuses, or try posting an ad on health food store bulletin boards). This part/half-time job can be your base.

Then, you might put the word out that you are available for house sitting. If you have never done house sitting before, you might be surprised how rewarding it is. It can be like going on vacation! You could be surrounded in luxury for a few days, and you will be getting paid for it! You too, can live the life of the rich and famous. Hey, someone has to feed the fish.

You could also walk dogs, be a caregiver for the elderly, or tutor a few kids in math to make money.

Then, amidst all these jobs, you would still have time to build your own website/business, and make money doing what you really want to be doing. Why not start that hat making business you always wanted to start? Or sell things on Ebay? Or start teaching piano lessons, or become a workout coach?

Put yourself and all your energy into more than one area, and you can make money from more than one source. This is the basic principle that many people are using to create more money, and have more fun in the process. The idea of multiple streams of income can be very useful

If you don't know where to start, just keep your eyes open.

Ask people if they need part-time help. Tell all the people you know what you are wanting to do. Let your voice and your email list go to good use.

Before you know it, you will have a diversified way of making money, variety in your days, and a little more free time. It sure beats working for peanuts at one job you do not even like. Maybe, you will find just the right way for you to make money, then you can just concentrate on that one thing. Even then, having an additional source of income can be handy in case that favorite method of making money goes dry. That is one advantage of having several ways to make money, you are never without an income idea.

Laser Color Printer

A laser color printer can have many advantages to a small business.

A laser color printer can save money in use over the common inkjet printer. They are much more cost efficient over inkjet printers for those daily business needs like reports.

A few years ago, a laser color printer was affordable only to large corporations, specialty shops and printers, and overly funded government institutions.

Laser color printers and copiers used to start at about $10,000 and costs went up from there, with most laser color printers and copiers costing over $20,000. When we had a laser color copier at our business I was shocked to discover nearly every school in the area had one. Teachers still came to our business because no one knew how to use them and they were often not working.

Today, you can buy a small laser color printer for less than $300.

They are better quality, faster, and easier to use then the laser color printers that used to cost $10,000. They are much easier to perform maintenance on the older laser color printers also. Most parts just slide out to be replaced by just sliding in the replacement part. Color laser toner cartridges are available at local office supply stores for many of the popular laser color printers. You can save money ordering parts and a laser toner cartridge online.

A laser color printer will usually print text sharper than an inkjet printer.

This alone makes the color laser printer a much better choice for a business, where text is the primary subject for printing. While an inkjet printer will still print photographs much better than a laser color printer will, the quality of photos from the latest color laser printer will surprise you. The newer laser color printer models produce magazine quality photos if not photo quality.

Because a laser color printer will use laser toner cartridges instead of ink cartridges, it will cost much less to use than in inkjet printer.

While individual laser toner cartridges are much more expensive than an inkjet cartridge, you will be able to print many more pages. Most laser color printers use 4 laser toner cartridges: yellow, magenta, cyan, and black. Usually, there are high capacity laser toner cartridges available at least for the black color. These high capacity cartridges are more economical than the standard capacity ones. You can tell your laser color printer to print just using the black color for high speed printing and further cost savings.

A laser color printer is perfect for small runs of brochures where you do not need the large number of copies it would take to make it cost effective at a commercial printer.

You will find the quality from your laser color printer to be very good for this type of printing job. You can combine a form letter and mailing list and print a custom brochure or color letter, personalized for each client. Imagine how impressed your clients would be to receive a color brochure, personalized just for them. Not something you could do easily working with a commercial printer.

Now that laser color printers are affordable, it may make sense to purchase one for you small business.

They have many advantages over inkjet printers especially in a small business setting. You will probably be looking at laser color printers from Konica-Minolta, Hewlett-Packard, Samsung, Canon, or Xerox. Make sure to check the prices on laser toner cartridges when you compare models.

Cell Telephone

A cell telephone can be a big help to your small business.

If you are self-employed, a cell telephone can keep you in touch with your clients and in touch with your business. That means happier clients which will help you make money.

As a self-employed small business owner, you often need to leave the office to do things that need to be done during business hours.

When no one is at the office, clients may not have any way to contact you. Telling them to leave a message on voice mail may not be the best way to please them. Have a cell telephone with you can allow you to directly answer additional clients and speed up your reply to those that you still need to leave on voice mail.

With caller ID available for almost any cell telephone calling plan, it can be easier to decide if the caller is someone you need to answer right away or if it can wait for a bit longer. Many cell telephones now display the caller’s ID on the outside or back of the phone when they are closed.

For business use, most of your cell telephone calls will probably be made during business hours.

Look for a cell telephone calling plan that will allow you the extra minutes during prime time. Plans with free calling after business hours are not what you need most.

Make sure the cell telephone company you choose has great coverage in the areas that you frequent.

Your clients should not be aware you are calling or answering from a cell telephone. You need great coverage and voice quality. There are cell telephone accessories available to attach a better antenna while using the phone in the car. This will aid reception at least when you are in the car. A Bluetooth headset for you cell telephone is another accessory that can aid in conversations with your clients.

My suggestion is not to give out the cell telephone number to clients.

Use your regular business phone number. When you are not in the office, have the office calls transferred to your cell telephone. This way, you help avoid business calls when you have the phone with you after business hours. Clients may still know your number from caller ID when you call them, but at least you can limit it some. It can be difficult if an important client calls your cell telephone while you are in the middle of your personal life. You also will not have the extra minutes charged to your cell telephone that could have been answered on your regular phone line.

When using a cell telephone for business, the same safety precautions apply as at any other time.

You will not impress that important client if you have an accident while talking to them on a cell telephone.
